When you visit our shop, we’ll help you complete the necessary DPS-3 transfer paperwork, which legally transfers the firearms from you to Swamp Yankee Arms. This ensures that your firearms are securely accounted for and that you remain in compliance with the law.
Step 3: We Handle the Retrieval
Once the transfer paperwork is completed, we’ll contact the law enforcement agency holding your firearms and schedule a pickup. Our strong working relationships with local agencies make this process efficient—many have complimented us as being the easiest to work with.
Step 4: Determine Storage Fees
After retrieving your firearms, we’ll assess storage fees based on the number of firearms, storage duration, and retrieval logistics, including distance and time. There is no transfer fee for bringing the firearms into our possession, but retrieval fees will apply.
