Finally some new info, thanks to those at CCDL - Magazine declarations for 2023 are due by 12/31/2023. As we all know, CT civilians are not allowed to possess magazines capable of holding more than 10 rounds. Our friends at CCDL fought very hard to pass PA23-203 for a second opportunity for those who missed the magazine declaration deadline in 2014.
The Public Act 23-203 that was signed into law on June 28, 2023 allows anyone who lawfully possessed a "large-capacity magazine" before January 1, 2014 and who has not declared possession of it yet is capable of doing so before January 1, 2024.
The application (linked here) must be completed and postage stamped prior to January 1, 2024. The application should include proof you lawfully possessed the magazines prior to January 1, 2014. This proof could be a copy of a receipt or an affidavit stating you purchased them prior to 1/1/14. A sample affidavit is linked here r/SwampYankeeArms for daily updates on the shop!
